About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Administration team based at our Head Office in Yatala.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a varied role with exposure across all areas of the business.  This is a permanent, part-time role working 30 hours per week with the flexibility to choose the days and hours to suit you.  

You will be assisting in the following areas:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining and updating truck schedule for settlements
  • Reconciling floorplan accounts
  • Maintaining asset registers
  • Assisting with wage processing and posting journals to DMS
  • Assisting with month end management reporting
  • Monthly reconciliation for various G/L accounts
  • Reviewing creditors to ensure Company guidelines are followed
  • Reviewing branch cash accounts and bank locations to ensure they are within Company guidelines
  • Ad hoc data analysis
  • Maintaining WebExpense users
  • Assisting with account/admin queries from branches

 

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting or Bachelor of Accounting
  • Customer-focus, self-motivation and enthusiasiam
  • Excellent attentional to detail, communication and organisational skills 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Able to multitask
