About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join us as the Service Manager at our branch in Mackay.  In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and profitability of the Service Department, as well as coaching and mentoring the team and building and maintaining long-term customer relationships. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Achieve all departmental goals within budgets 
• Create new and maintain existing relationships with customers and suppliers
• Visit customers and suppliers 
• Provide exceptional and professional customer service
• Work in conjunction with other departments
• Coach and maximise performance and help support/manage underperformance of direct reports
• Evaluate current needs and anticipate future needs of the service department
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Set examples in good behaviour, work ethics, responsibilities and initiative for staff to follow
• Control staffing levels and shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimal overtime

What we’re looking for:

• Proven success in a similar role with truck dealership experience 
• Experience in a leadership role managing a team
• Truck mechanic qualification or any other mechanic qualification 
• Strong people skills including customer service, communication, collaboration, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
• The ability to multitask and meet deadlines 
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Knowledge of Kenworth and DAF trucks (preferred)
• EQUIP knowledge (preferred)
