We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead the day to day operations of our busy Parts Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about customer service, team leadership, and driving operational excellence.

About the Role
Based at our branch in Toowoomba, reporting to the Dealer Principal, you’ll be responsible for leading a fast paced Parts Department and ensuring exceptional service to internal and external customers. You’ll manage stock levels, lead and mentor your team, build relationships with suppliers, and work closely with Service and Sales to support overall branch performance.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and support Parts Interpreters, Parts Sales Representatives, Storepersons and Apprentices
- Manage rosters and day to day workflow
- Support performance, development and accountability
- Work closely with the Assistant Parts Manager to ensure smooth operations
Customer Service & Relationships
- Deliver exceptional customer service across all channels
- Build strong customer and supplier relationships
- Support Service, Sales and other departments
- Conduct customer visits and identify new opportunities
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and oversee ordering, returns and warranty processes
- Keep the warehouse well organised, safe and compliant
- Reduce obsolete/aging stock through proactive management
- Ensure all assets and equipment are well maintained
Sales & Financial Performance
- Achieve sales, margin and profitability targets
- Monitor KPIs and act quickly on performance issues
- Complete month end processes with minimal WIP
- Negotiate freight and supplier terms
Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Assess future needs for space, equipment and systems
- Recommend improvements or capital expenditure
- Work with Marketing on parts promotions and campaigns
About You
- We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Previous Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with demonstrated ability to drive business performance
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
- Ability to drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Solid understanding of stock control and ERP/DMS systems
- A proactive, organised and solutions focused mindset
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
