We’re looking for a Parts Interpreter to join our Yatala branch and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our internal and external customers.

About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, sourcing and supplying parts for trucks, and trailers, while building strong relationships and contributing to the overall success of our Parts Department.
What You’ll Be Doing
Customer Service & Sales
- Serve customers at the counter, over the phone and via email
- Provide polite, professional and prompt service at all times
- Prepare accurate quotes, pricing and product information
- Stay up to date with products and promotions
- Build strong relationships to support repeat business
- Recommend additional products based on customer needs
Parts Interpretation & Ordering
- Accurately identify parts using catalogues, systems and manufacturer resources
- Source parts from stock, other branches or external suppliers
- Arrange dispatch or collection of customer and workshop orders
- Process invoices, orders and payments in the dealership system
Workshop & Internal Support
- Work closely with the Service Department to meet workshop parts requirements
- Assist with pre delivery parts needs
- Support Technicians with accurate parts identification
- Participate in the on call roster for breakdown support as needed
- Support stocktakes and inventory processes
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Previous parts interpreting or sales experience (truck, trailer, agricultural or automotive preferred)
- Experience with Kenworth, DAF, Case IH or New Holland (desirable)
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle or agricultural machinery components
- Experience using electronic parts catalogues or dealership management systems
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem solving skills
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confident sales ability and sound negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Intermediate computer skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required
- Current driver’s licence
- Certificate III in Automotive Sales (preferred)
- LF Forklift licence (desirable)
